EstateShare removes distance barriers by allowing family members in different locations to participate in the process remotely. Everyone can browse assets through an Instagram-style interface and transparently view preferences or participate in distributions from anywhere.

EstateShare uses a smart algorithm that balances everyone’s rankings and family relationships to settle “who gets what.” Every decision comes with a clear explanation, and there’s a built-in 7-day review period so the family can chat through any concerns before things are final.

To keep the peace and prevent “inheritance envy,” you’ll only see your own assigned items by default. Administrators can see the full list to ensure balance, but keeping individual results private helps everyone focus on their own meaningful mementos. Admins and executors can also choose to provide full transparency.

Usually takes a couple weeks once the estate assets have been logged using our AI assistant. You get a week or so to browse and rank your favorites. The algorithm only needs a few minutes to determine who receives which assets. After that, you “wait and see” if anyone disputes their inheritance before settling the estate. 

The app settles ties by looking at family tiers (like children before cousins), who ranked it higher, and who used their “Dibs.” If it’s still a toss-up, the system uses tiebreakers like age or sentimental value and gives the administrator a “confidence score” to help make the final call.
