Overview

Before anyone can like, rank, or claim anything, the estate needs to be set up. Think of it as the blueprint: you’re defining how the distribution will run, who’s involved, and what rules apply. Maybe you’re the executor and need to get everything in order before inviting the family, or you’re helping a parent plan ahead.

What You’ll Configure

  1. Estate basics — Name and location (for your records).
  2. Distribution method — Traditional (live picking), Automated (algorithm does the work), or Fully Automated.
  3. Value system — Dollars, points, or no points at all.
  4. Family members — Who’s in, their relationships, and their roles.
  5. Timeline — When the liking phase starts, when it ends, and any grace period.

Once that’s done, you add assets and launch the distribution when everyone’s ready.
