How Do I Change Someone’s Role Mid-Distribution?

Overview

You need to promote someone to Asset Manager, or demote them back to Member. Can you do it while a distribution is running? Usually yes—role changes apply immediately. But it can get tricky.

Steps

1. Go to Family → Edit for that member.
2. Change their role and save.
3. New permissions apply right away.

Heads up: If they’re in the middle of a live selection, changing their role might affect their turn order or access. If they’re a Member and you make them Admin, they’ll suddenly see everything. If you demote an Admin, make sure someone else can still run the distribution.

Best to do role changes between distributions when possible.
