Overview

After the algorithm runs, you’ll see fairness metrics on the review dashboard. Maybe you’re wondering if the distribution is actually fair, or you’re explaining the numbers to the family. Here’s what they mean.

Gini Coefficient

Measures how equal the value distribution is. 0.0 = perfectly equal (everyone got the same total value). 1.0 = one person got everything. Aim for 0.0–0.3 for a very equal split. Higher numbers mean more inequality.

Distribution by Tier

Shows the percentage of total value each tier received. Check that it aligns with your priorities—e.g., Tier 1 (children) should typically get the lion’s share if that’s your intent.

Low Confidence Assignments

Assignments under 80% confidence are highlighted. Those are close calls—read the reasoning and override if the algorithm got it wrong. Don’t ignore them.
